According to a report, Samsung is working on a new type of smart glasses that could work like the Ray-Ban Meta smartglasses, but with its own unique features. A recent report says these glasses will not have a display like normal AR devices. Instead, they will use AI to help users with different tasks.
The glasses may include speakers, a camera, and a microphone, so users can take photos, record videos, and talk to an AI assistant without using their hands.

Unlike Samsung’s Project Haean (which will have an AR display and is being made with Google), this new model will focus only on AI-based interactions rather than showing visuals on a screen.
Samsung was first planning to launch these glasses in 2025 along with its upcoming XR headset (Project Moohan), but the launch may now happen in late 2026. The reason for this delay could be the success of Meta’s smartglasses, which have pushed Samsung to make its own AI-focused device.
We still don’t know the price, design, or full features. But reports suggest the glasses could understand surroundings, recognize objects, and give real-time information without needing a display.
If true, Samsung could directly compete with Meta’s Ray-Ban smartglasses, which sell in Pakistan for Rs 120k. Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed this project yet, so fans will have to wait for more updates.
